How Gas Nitriding Works and What Are Its Benefits?
The gas nitriding process takes place in temperature-controlled furnaces where a nitrogen-rich atmosphere diffuses the gas into the metal surface. This penetration promotes the formation of a nitrided layer with high surface hardness, which remains stable even at operating temperatures above 200°C.
